Advexure's Story: Making Drone Technology Accessible to All

What do you look for in a drone solutions provider?

Maybe you care about the company's reputation within the industry. Perhaps price and product availability are your biggest considerations.

These are some of the questions Travis Waibel, considered when he founded Advexure with a couple of friends out of his garage in Sheboygan, WI, in 2012.

Travis had always wanted to capture his life experiences from a new perspective. In the early days of the UAS industry, he built his first drone when resources were scarce and information was extremely limited.

After seeing the power of UAS for himself, Travis set out with a mission: to help make drone technology accessible for working professionals.

"I was determined to find a way for those looking to get into aerial technology to have an easy access route with full assistance to pursue their interests…Our goal was to make drone technology more accessible as we quickly saw how beneficial the technology could be,"

Our Customers: At the Core of Everything We Do

The Impact of UAS on Our Customers and End Users

Over the past 11 years Advexure has been a drone dealer, distributor and solutions providers; we've seen the impact and power of unmanned systems to transform how our customers find success within their industries.

The wide adoption of drones in key industries has resulted in better efficiencies, safer work environments, and considerable cost reduction and savings.

Here are just a few industries we've helped:

A Long Relationship with Public Safety

Advexure has established long-standing partnerships and relationships with public safety over the years, not only in its home state of California, but across the country with strongholds in states such as Texas, Virginia, Washington and Ohio.

Numerous police agencies and fire departments have come to depend on us to support the integration of drones for use cases and mission sets like search and rescue, overwatch and suspect apprehension, firefighting, drone as a first responder, and crime-scene reconstruction.

Our team of subject matter experts and previous public safety professionals have helped build trust with the pilots who use this critical technology to serve their communities, achieve better outcomes, and save lives.

"There are plenty of companies trying to upsell you on the next big thing. Especially when they find out you work for a government agency! When we met the guys from Advexure, we knew we finally had the enterprise support to match the DJI enterprise products. Advexure has proven to be professional, responsive, flexible, and honest."

A Unique Background in Precision Agriculture

Advexure's VP of Business Development, Cody Thomas, comes from a multi-generational background in agriculture in California. From his early upbringing in a farming community, he developed an appreciation for the importance of technology in enhancing efficiency and productivity.

His expertise and experience have been indispensable in Advexure's search for newer and better aerial imaging tools to help farmers monitor crop and soil health, optimize water and irrigation usage, and achieve maximum yield.

Increased ROI & Safety in Energy & Utilities

UAS has emerged as an invaluable tool for professionals in the utilities and energy sector due largely to their ability to cover large distances and traverse hard-to-reach areas quickly and safely, without risking workers' lives.

For instance, for one solar company, a study showed that a manually piloted drone can collect data 10 times faster than a technician on the ground with 97% accuracy.

The successful integration of drone fleets to help large utilities and energy companies conduct critical infrastructure inspections, assess damage on assets, and monitor safety standards has earned Advexure a reputation for being a valuable industry partner.

Efficient Data Collection in Construction & Surveying

There's no denying that the latest camera and sensor technology on drones can capture data points and information that would've taken much longer in years past.

When construction and engineering professionals come to us for help integrating UAS into their job sites for use cases in land surveying, topographical mapping, and project monitoring, we're uniquely positioned to recommend the best solutions on the market today.
